Inside an our customer greenhouse there was an artificial lighting system equipped with HPS lamps for a total power consumption of 32KW. Our customer uses the artificial light for many hours during the day to avoid basil illness, so the total power consumptiuon of the lighting system is an important factor of production/operating cost. After the artificial lighting system replacement with our AE80 lamps, there has been a power reduction of 56% and a 5 days reduction of production time. AE80 is an Italian made LED lamp for professional use, designed to be highly energy efficient as the light is emitted inside the visible light spectrum in the photosynthetic active region. This lamp promotes the growth of plants and it’s a natural replacement to the conventional HPS (High Pressure Sodium) lamps used today in the horticultural industry.
