Modular and superflat LED Light Panel System from MENTOR

The LED light panel from MENTOR, the optoelectronics and light guide specialist, is both compact and extremely flat. The use of modern LED technology allows the combination of elegant panel design and perfect illumination.

The frameless panels can be arranged side by side to create highly attractive, modular panel arrangements of any size, without loss of brightness and homogeneity.

MENTOR has developed an innovative light panel system for creating illuminated areas with maximum homogeneity - without comprising design diversity. The light panel is super flat, allowing a wide variety of applications. This is made possible by the employed method of light introduction: light is radiated into a specially structured light guide area from the side via LEDs arranged on two opposite edges of the panel.

An additional diffuse acrylic panel forms the outer reflecting surface which homogenously radiates light to the surrounding area. The LED light panel can be customised to suit individual lighting concepts and for maximum freedom of design.

The MENTOR light panel was presented to the public for the first time at Light + Building 2010 in Frankfurt as part of a study.
