Key factors in the handrail illumination for the Pfungen pedestrian bridge were the power consumption and a simple installation concept since the handrail construction had already defined. A single supply point and electronic control gear for each side made the electrical installation simple and cost-effective.
This was made possible by using of the 30 high-efficiency luminaires with high IP protection; their especially molded casting makes them consume only 1W/m installed capacity (total power consumption for the bridge <75W).

The IP67-shielded luminaire system with linear, asymmetrical or symmetrical optical system through state-of-the-art Clear Casting
technology ensures high efficiency and a long life along with minimal power consumption.
Osram LED components were used in this project.
